1. Education System.
a. Academic Organization
Navyabharathi Global School uses English as its language of instruction and communication. Although it is adapted in many ways to suit an International context. The well designed curriculum is consistent with our academic philosophy. Over the entire period of the Schooling we aim to provide our students with a breadth of academic opportunity. This covers from the Kindergarten stage to the end of secondary Schooling.
Until the end of 8th Standard, all students follow a common core academic curriculum. Whenever choices of subjects have to be made, students and parents are provided with advice about the implications of available choices for future educational Programmememes.
b. Monitoring & Progress
Students’ progress in all areas of the curriculum is regularly monitored, assessed and recorded. This continuous evaluation enables staff to pinpoint a student’s strengths and weaknesses and to make appropriate provision for individual needs.
Throughout the Primary School, students are taught principally by their class teacher so that they can benefit from a strong and stable relationship with that teacher. In the later years of the Primary School, a larger proportion of lessons are taught by subject specialists. Parents are kept fully informed from time to time. They receive written reports on their child’s progress periodically and parent-teacher meeting are organized for mutual interaction. Parents are invited to special functions, sports events and assemblies. They are welcome in the School to visit classrooms and enjoy the children’s work on display or to discuss their child’s progress with her or his teacher.
In the Secondary School, students are always taught by subject specialists. Their progress is monitored by the respective faculties, the appropriate Academic Co-ordinator, Head of Year and their tutor. Parents receive written reports on their child’s progress and there is at least one formal parents’ evening each year. There are also special guidance evenings for parents at the time of making critical choices by the students about their academic careers.
c. After School Activities
Navyabharathi Global School offers a rich and varied After School Activity Programmememe. The activities provide a wide range of cultural and sporting opportunities. Sport, music and other cultural activities figure prominently, but many other activities are available. Personality Development courses and English classes are offered.
d. Additional Learning Support
We have a Learning Support Unit in both the Primary and Secondary sections of the School. It offers assistance to students who have specific learning needs. This support may be in class, in the mainstream subject lessons or through small group work outside the classroom. It also offers help to students who cannot cope up with the pace of the School’s academic life.
e. English as First Language
We are aware that our students do not have english as their first language. We offer many forms of support at every level of the School for students. This support can range from intensive language classes to supportive monitoring of students whose knowledge of english has reached a high level.
Staff are sympathetic to the challenges facing EAL students and many teachers have taken training courses in this stream to deliver a good level English language.
f. Secondary School
The Curriculum
In standards Seven to Nine, most students first begin to face the emotional and intellectual challenges of developing into adults. The transition from the more enclosed world of primary School to the larger environment of secondary School means that students can find these years demanding. However, they are important in establishing work habits which will allow children to prepare for the rigours of external examinations in the future. They are also important in helping children come to terms with their increasing maturity. In these years, emphasis is placed, through our Programmememe of personal and social education known as “Life Time”, on helping children to develop appropriate responses to the challenges of adolescence.
In Key Stage Three, standards Seven to Nine, students study a broad core curriculum of academic subjects. The course is designed to ease the student into the specialist subject areas taught in the senior years of the Secondary School.

Key Stage Four: Tenth Standard
By Key Stage Four, most students will have developed a distinct personality, one which will remain with them for the rest of their lives. They are now required to begin to develop traits as independent learners, responsible for their own decisions, behaviour and work. Physical maturity will have been achieved by many students, but often they are not ready to take on the responsibilities which true maturity brings. Consequently, students at this level are still closely monitored. They are given guidance not only on their academic work, but also on how to cope with the challenges which their changing social circumstances bring. All this means that many standard Ten students are emerging as significant characters within the School.
As students move into Tenth standard, they begin their preparation for board examination. They also have an important role in applications for admission to colleges. Extra care is taken on curriculum to achieve a good score in the final examinations.
At this stage, he should have the maturity to take advantage of the many opportunities open to them. Obviously, after tenth standard, students are making decisions which will probably have a big impact on their lives. How hard they work will decide the extent of their academic success which will, in turn, determine where they go to college and what they can do there.
Besides, they have the chance to emerge as significant figures in the School. And yet they still have a degree of support which watches over them carefully as they make the transition to adulthood. The tenth standard is very much a staging post between the highly regulated life of School and the much greater freedom which comes with life at college. All these efforts would greater contribute to the child’s post-school performance and in life.
